Road-Bridge and Transport Engineering

The main of objective of the road-bridge engineering program aims to educate engineers and high level technicians to work mainly in the field of public works (roads and bridges). Transportation Engineering is concerned with moving people and goods efficiently, safely, and in a manner conducive to a vibrant community. This involves specifying, designing, constructing, and maintaining transportation infrastructure which includes streets, canals, highways, rail systems, airports, ports, and mass transit. It includes areas such as transportation design, transportation planning, traffic engineering, some aspects of urban engineering, queuing theory, pavement engineering, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), and infrastructure management. The department offers a four-year undergraduate Bachelor’s degree consisting of 150 credits undergraduate bachelor’s degree program. |

The first two year are made up of basic science and engineering courses. Core subjects are concentrated in the final two years. In the final year, a 4-credit senior project is to be carried out. Students must also seek experience from industrial training for a minimum total period of 4 weeks.
