History

The main purpose of the Electrical Engineering Department (EED) is to provide comprehensive education to bachelor students, enabling them to become highly skilled engineers capable of solving problems in an academic manner. Graduates from this department play a crucial role in the industrial field and contribute to the country’s transition into the modern era. In addition to teaching, engineers in EED actively pursue research projects in the areas of automation and electrical systems. This allows them to stay updated with the latest advancements in their field and contribute to its growth.

EED offers a four-year Bachelor’s degree program consisting of 147 units. The first two years of the program focus on introducing students to the general areas and foundational concepts of Electrical Engineering. The final two years of the curriculum concentrate on specialized coursework, allowing students to tailor their studies according to their interests and the demands of the industry. To provide practical experience, students are required to participate in real-world projects for a minimum of four weeks during their third year. This hands-on experience allows them to apply their theoretical knowledge in practical setting
