The department of civil engineering (CED) has contributed a significant part to the construction industry and particularly to the construction of the country through many projects to build roads, bridges, factories, dams etc... Many construction engineers who worked in those projects have graduated from this department. The main objective of the civil engineering department is to educate engineers to work mainly in the field of building (housing, industrial buildings, new construction or / and renovation and public works (roads and bridges). |

The CED offers a four-year undergraduate program leading to the degree of bachelor of engineering. To fulfill the degree’s requirement, the students are required to complete 148 credits. In order to provide graduates with a well-balanced and comprehensive engineering education, industrial training is required for a minimum period 4 weeks during the third year. In the fourth year, students are required to carry out approved civil engineering projects, in which every student has to participate to perform individual or grouped research works and prepare research reports. |
