The department’s primary objective is to train both undergraduate and postgraduate students to become highly competent engineers with solid knowledge and practical skills that enable them tom solve technical problems. The graduates in Electrical engineering are holding important positions in industrial sectors and contribution to the modernization of the country. Besides the teaching duty, academic staffs also actively conduct research programs in areas of automatic control and power engineering.

The Department of Electrical Engineering (EED) offers a four-year 150 credit undergraduate program. The initial two years provide a broad exposure to other engineering fields and an introduction to electrical engineering. In the final two years, the curriculum concentrates on core courses, such as network analysis, electronics circuits and design, linear systems, alternating-current machines, communication theory, etc. Elective courses in a wide range…In the senior year, a three-credit research project must be undertaken. Students are also required to carry out practical training for a minimum four weeks period.

The EED offers a four-year undergraduate bachelor degree consisting of 147 credits. The initial two years provide a broad exposure to common fields and an introduction to hydropower engineering. In the final two years, the curriculum concentrates on core courses. Elective course in a wide variety of fields can be selected to meet specific interests and needs of students. Students are also required to carry out practical training for a minimum of four weeks after second semester of their third year. Finally, in the student’s senior year, a three-credit research project must be undertaken.
