From the year 2008, in response to high demand in the field of mining engineering, the Mining Engineering Department also offers a new four-year undergraduate program leading to the degree of bachelor of mining engineering.

This four-year undergraduate program consists of 142 credits. The first two year are made up of basic sciences and basic engineering courses, plus introductory mining courses. Core subjects are concentrated in the final two years

The mining engineering program consist of geology, mineralogy, mining technology and mine design, explosive and blasting, geotechnical engineering, mineral processing, extractive metallurgy, mine economics and environmental control and management.

Each student is required to have a practical training for a minimum period of four weeks. Conducting a three-credit research project is also required during the end of first semester of the fourth year.

Our Mining Engineering graduates tend to be versatile and progress rapidly both within the mining industry and affiliated industries. They have contributed to the continual growth and development of the minerals industry, making it one of the most efficient and productive in the country.
